Living in Marino
Most of the houses are terraced homes arranged around green spaces, in the crescents and groves off the Malahide Road. Many have been extended to the rear, and they are much in demand with families and first-time buyers who want a real community close to town. Houses in the best-kept terraces tend to go sale agreed quickly.
Getting around
The Malahide Road bus corridor has frequent services to the city centre, and Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations are within walking or cycling distance. The Clontarf and Fairview cycle routes run into town along the coast.
Schools and colleges
Marino Institute of Education is here, along with St Joseph's CBS in Fairview and several primary schools. There are more secondary options in Clontarf and Drumcondra.
Parks and amenities
The Casino at Marino, an 18th-century neoclassical building, is a short walk away, as are Fairview Park and the seafront at Clontarf. Shops and cafés line the Malahide Road and Fairview Strand.
