Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we do with your information when you use this website or enquire about our web design, development, hosting or CMS services. Fionnglas Tech is the data controller. You can reach us at PLACEHOLDER — hello@fionnglastech.com.

What we collect

• Enquiry / quote requests: your business name, phone number, email address, the service you're interested in, your budget if you give one, and whatever you write in the message.
• Client project information: if you become a client, we collect what's needed to design, build and host your website — this may include business details, content, images, domain and hosting account information, and technical access needed to deliver the project.
• Reviews: your name, email address, business/company name if given, and the review itself. Your email is never published — we only use it to check a review is genuine.
• Technical data: your IP address, recorded with form submissions to prevent spam and abuse.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to scope and deliver a website or hosting project you've commissioned, to publish reviews you have consented to publish, and to keep the website free of spam. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with third parties beyond what's needed to deliver your project (for example, a hosting provider, if your project involves us configuring hosting on your behalf).

Legal basis

We rely on your consent when you tick the box on a form, on the performance of a contract when you engage us for a project, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and protecting the website from abuse.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't proceed to a project: 12 months, then deleted.
• Client project information: for the duration of the working relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards in case further support is needed, or as required for accounting records.
• Published reviews: until you ask us to remove them.
• Reviews that are not approved: 3 months, then deleted.

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep your session secure while you use the forms, and we store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not keep asking. Neither is used for tracking. If enabled, Google Analytics only loads after you accept analytics cookies.

Hosting and website access

Where we set up or manage hosting on your behalf, we may hold login credentials for your hosting account, domain registrar or CMS admin area. These are stored securely and used only to deliver and maintain the work you've asked for. Full access details are always handed over to you as part of the project.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email PLACEHOLDER — hello@fionnglastech.com and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page.
