Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply when you engage Fionnglas Tech for web design, web development, hosting setup or CMS/admin build services. By instructing us to proceed with a project, you agree to the terms below. If anything here needs clarifying for your specific project, ask before you sign off — we'll always confirm project-specific terms in writing (email is fine) before work begins.
1. Quotes and scope
Pricing starts from €249, but every quote is scoped to your specific requirements after we've discussed your project. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, and covers only the work described in it. Anything outside that scope — extra pages, features, revisions beyond what's agreed, or significant changes of direction partway through — will be quoted separately before we proceed.
2. Deposits and payment
Projects typically require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due on completion or to agreed milestones — this will be set out in your quote. Hosting, domain registration and any third-party licences or services are billed at cost unless otherwise agreed. Late payment may pause ongoing work or support.
3. Content and materials
You are responsible for providing accurate, lawful content (text, images, logos) for your site, and for confirming you have the right to use it. We are not liable for content you supply, including any copyright, trademark or defamation issues arising from it.
4. Website design and development
We build sites using hand-coded PHP/MySQL, without third-party page-builder or e-commerce platform lock-in unless specifically agreed. You'll have the opportunity to review and request reasonable revisions during the build, within the scope quoted. Final sign-off is required before a site goes live.
5. Hosting and domains
Where we set up hosting or a domain on your behalf, the underlying accounts (cPanel hosting, domain registrar) remain yours, in your name, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. We are not responsible for the ongoing performance, uptime or policies of third-party hosting providers or registrars.
6. CMS / admin access
Where a project includes a custom admin area, login credentials are provided to you on completion. You are responsible for keeping these credentials secure and for content you or your team publish through it after handover.
7. Ownership on completion
On final payment, ownership of the completed site's code and content transfers to you, excluding any third-party licensed components, stock assets, or our own general-purpose internal tooling, which remain licensed for use on your site only.
8. Support and maintenance
Ongoing support and maintenance are not automatically included after launch unless specifically agreed as part of your quote. We're happy to agree a support arrangement separately, or handle ad-hoc requests as they come up.
9. Liability
We take reasonable care in building and testing every site, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we are not liable for losses arising from third-party hosting outages, browser or platform changes, or content supplied by you. Our liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees paid for that project.
10. Cancellation
Either party may cancel a project in writing before completion. Work carried out and costs incurred up to that point (including any deposit) are payable.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
